A passion for the land and the outdoors led me to this career, where I’m privileged to help people find the place they call home.
Sales is in my blood. I discovered that early in life, right after college. But for years, I searched for a product I was truly passionate about — something I believed in, something that excited me enough to jump out of bed and get to work every day. I didn’t want to just sell; I wanted to connect with what I was selling. After a long search, I finally found that passion in real estate.

It wasn’t an obvious path for me. No one in my family was involved in real estate, and I actually grew up in the world of sports. Football was my passion. As a college athlete it was my identity, my community, and my purpose. Then, everything changed. A nasty accident left me with a severe wrist injury, and just like that, my football career was over. Losing the game I loved felt like losing a part of myself, and I had to face a difficult question: what now?
My first real opportunity came when I was hired by a Kirby franchise to train other reps and sell Kirby’s. I got good at it — really good. Before long, I opened my own Kirby franchise, a journey that lasted 14 years. I learned how to talk to clients and demonstrate features. I spent ample time client’s homes, showing them the product, connecting with them one-on-one and negotiating over 80,000 to 90,000 contracts.
Those years were an incredible experience. I traveled, discovered new places, and built lifelong relationships while honing my sales skills. But over time, I got comfortable… maybe too comfortable. I needed a new challenge, something that would reignite my drive. That’s when the opportunity to open a CBD franchise. We launched it right after CBD was federally legalized in Alabama. Retail, I quickly discovered, was a whole new beast. On one hand, I loved connecting with clients who came into the store and educating them about the product, but managing my five locations , inventory, staffing, overhead, everything — wasn’t for me. I realized that while I enjoyed talking with clients, I didn’t enjoy being tied down to the day-to-day grind of retail management. I wanted more freedom.

So, I started searching for deep answers. At my core, I’m an outdoorsman. I love being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and traveling. I’ve been to over 30 countries, and some of my favorite trips are to Coast Rica and Canada on outdoor adventures. I’m a lover of the land, and the more I thought about it, the more real estate made sense. It was the perfect blend of what I loved: being outside and connecting with people.
I sold the CBD stores and dove headfirst into real estate full-time. I love that homes aren’t just properties — they represent people’s dreams, milestones, and futures. I get to walk through homes, explore neighborhoods, tour land and help clients make one of the biggest decisions of their lives. It excites me every single day.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, whether it’s trying out a new restaurant or savoring a good cocktail at a nice bar — bourbon is my go-to. I still hunt and fish whenever I can, and I give back by donating time and resources to a local spay and neuter clinic that serves low-income individuals in Limestone and Madison County. Looking back, every twist and turn led me here — from sports, to Kirby’s, to CBD, and now real estate. I’ve found a career where my passion, skills, and lifestyle align.
With decades of experience in sales, I’ve developed expert negotiation skills and approach every deal with a clear strategy and goal. Born and raised in this area, I know the local market inside and out, helping clients find the neighborhoods and property features that best fit their needs. Over the years, I’ve also built an extensive network of trusted vendors — I truly have someone for everything — which helps streamline the process and make things easier for my clients.
I pride myself on being adaptable and connecting with people from all walks of life. No matter your background, I’ll find common ground and ensure you feel understood and supported. I also believe buying or selling a home doesn’t have to be stressful, so I bring a sense of humor and positivity to make the experience enjoyable.
Specializing in land and residential properties, my goal is to guide you efficiently, handle the details, and make the entire process as smooth and seamless as possible.
Sincerely,

Harley Kenney
